Description

Encompassing research traditions such as action research and design science, interventionist research now serves as an umbrella term for building new knowledge through intervening, i.e. changing something in the real world, in order to learn from the process of doing so, and from how the real world responds. After the inauguration of the design science department (later renamed the Interventionist research department) at Journal of Operations Management, interventionist research is becoming more widely accepted in our scientific community, opening opportunities to get published in an (so far largely) uncontested space. In this research seminar, Mikael will explore what interventionist research is, what is it not, how do you do it, what you can learn through it, and how can you get it published.
