Invited talk at the Forschungskolloquium der Romanistischen Linguistik at the University of Augsburg. The presentation introduced the international research project Paths to the Past and focused on its Mochica component, including archival research on historical linguistic and ethnographic materials preserved in Berlin and their reconnection with communities in northern Peru through research, education, and community engagement.
