Description

The VII International Seminar Revitalizando Ando is an academic and community-based forum dedicated to the discussion of language and cultural revitalization in Latin America. Since its first edition in 2014, the seminar has brought together Indigenous leaders, activists, researchers, educators, and students to share experiences, build collaborative networks, and reflect on strategies for the recovery and transmission of ancestral languages and knowledge.

The seventh edition took place from 19 to 21 November 2025 at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP) in Lima and focused on Indigenous activism for cultural and linguistic revitalization through digital spaces and community-based education. The event highlighted the role of digital tools, intercultural education, and grassroots initiatives in strengthening language use, visibility and intergenerational transmission.

Held in a hybrid format, the seminar included keynote lectures, thematic panels, workshops, and cultural activities, fostering dialogue between academic research and community-driven revitalization practices.
