Research and teaching information
Kam-Ming Wan is an Associate Professor of Finance at the Hanken School of Economics. Previously, he taught at the University of Texas at Dallas, University of Hong Kong (HKU), and Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). He received his doctoral degree from UCLA and bachelor's degree from HKU.
Kam-Ming is an applied researcher with a broad research interest ranging from corporate governance and executive compensation to market microstructure. He has published scholarly articles in leading journals including Journal of Finance, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Financial Markets, Critical Finance Review, and received multiple research grants.
He has taught a wide range of courses in Finance, Economics, and Accounting. His teaching has been recognized by his peers and students and received the Faculty Award for Excellent Performance in Teaching (Team) at PolyU in 2016 and a two-time nomination for the Faculty’s Outstanding Teacher Award at HKU.
