Sammanfattning

This study aims to propose the ‘Circularity Driven Humanitarian Operating Model’ (CDHOM), integrating socio-ecological considerations. The objective is to ensure the practical relevance of CDHOM, thereby enabling the formulation of a subsequent ‘Humanitarian Driven Circularity Framework’ (HDCF). The research was conducted by exploring relevant qualitative studies, utilizing the approach of Synthesis by Interpretation. The ‘study selection and evaluation’ is adopted by following the guidelines of Denyer & Tranfield (2009). The scope of this research is confined to qualitative studies due to the synthesis by interpretation methodology, which may limit the breadth of the findings due to exclusion of quantitative studies. The preliminary building blocks of CDHOM have been proposed in this study. It represents an initial step towards establishing a formal framework, providing a foundation for future circularity research in the context of humanitarian settings. The key is to ensure timely availability of materials to those in need while maintaining the innovative integration of circularity in humanitarian operations.
